Alright, so this post has been in limbo for quite a while. The gating action has been sifting through and compiling all the footage. I have finally done that and have uploaded the video to YouTube.
Quick Belize Tips:
-
-Ambergris Caye is gorgeous. We stayed at White Sands Cove resort and they made everything super easy for us. Highly recommended.
-Even though the weather report said it was going to be rainy the entire time we were down in Belize, there was hardly a cloud in the sky. Apparently, this is common because the weather station is located on the mainland.
-Water Taxi was the fastest, easiest, and really cheap way to get around the island.
-The royal rat (aka Paca or Gibnut) is pretty overrated. It was surprisingly gamey, and fatty, but there were a lot of bones which made it tough to eat.
-Snorkeling was great fun and highly recommended even though I had never done it before.
-Money exchange was no issue at all. Pretty much everybody accepted USD and Belizean Dollars interchangeably. I just wish I had brought more cash.
